This is not the first and it definitely won’t be the last time that the Indianapolis Museum of Art makes the cut for a post and photo. The museum has got to be in the top five of places to visit in this area. Even though I have a membership which will grant me admission any time I want, I usually don’t even make it inside the museum building when I go there. The grounds outside are so nice that I make special trips just for them…with their amazing flower gardens, trails and wooded areas.
Inside the museum, there are certain paintings and works of art that I like so much that I refrain from going inside to see them…if that makes any sense? But to me it’s a way I can save their specialness. It’s the same way with music for me. I have certain music albums that I like so much that I won’t play them very often…only on special occasions when the timing seems perfect, I’ll get them out.
In addition to the collections that the museum owns or controls, there are featured exhibits that come for a little while and then move on. Right now there are two exhibits at IMA that have something to do with photography, so that’s of interest to me. So…I might actually go ‘inside’ for a change.
